Program Curriculum
Foot and Lower Limb Biomechanical Assessments
Foot and lower limb Treatments/Protocols (non pharmaceutical, non invasive, conservative) for;
Theoretical Knowledge of Advanced Conservative Treatment Modalities
Application of adjunctive treatment modalities- Photobiomodulation (PBMT), Shockwave Therapy (SWT) and Orthotic Therapy
Condition Based Treatment Protocols with Care Plans-Access to Online Documents through FFLSPFS Portal
Our program is accredited through the Ontario Foot Care Association (OFCA) who communicate the standards of practice for foot and lower limb care relevant to the regulated health professions act for health care providers in Ontario.
Nurses are eligible for reimbursement of up to $1,500.00 in tuition fees upon successful completion through the Nursing Education Initiative (NEI).
Students are given a one-year complementary membership to the Ontario Foot Care Association (OFCA) upon completion of our program, providing practice support through OFCA’s members' login. Member Benefits Include: use of the trademark title "Podortho Foot Specialist," practice documents & guidance, additional complementary courses, discounted courses, discounts to conferences, and entrepreneur advice.
Our program offers the most advanced theoretical and practical knowledge intake. Health Care Provider students will be confident and competent to deliver medical foot and lower limb care, meeting the growing and advancing needs of our population at the community level in independent practice.
With locations in Barrie, Ottawa, Windsor. Sault St. Marie For those travelling long distances hotel accommodations are included in tuition fee.

Feet for Life School of Podortho Foot Specialists offers comprehensive online live theory and in-person skilled hands-on clinical training at our various locations. Our program not only equips students with the necessary skills for foot and lower limb care but also emphasizes their significant contribution to economic and social development, as well as the overall well-being of individuals.
Our instructors are seasoned in the field of foot and lower limb care and have owned and operated successful clinics for decades.
Our students have the opportunity to work directly with a mentor one-on-one with each client in our professional clinical settings.
We encourage advanced learning and the utilization of adjunctive therapies, instruments, products, and equipment to meet the needs of each client, delivering comprehensive solution-oriented care.
All case studies, instruments, and equipment are provided for the student to learn in a professional environment.
Your tuition covers all aspects of this program, with no hidden fees or need to purchase any additional items. We mail out textbooks and practice supplies to our students prior to day one of our theory classes. Please ensure you register no later than one week in advance to allow program materials time to arrive at your doorstep.

Our programs are completed at the mature students’ own pace, as we recognize life is busy. Once officially registered, our students can become certified quickly to begin their new career and/or business.
This is a post-graduate program building upon the health care providers’ knowledge, skills, and experience. We promote advanced learning that complements the health care providers’ entry to practice health care education, specializing in Medical Foot and Lower Limb care.

This post graduate program is for RN’s, RPN’s, LPN’s, PSW’s, Paramedics, Pedorthists, Registered Massage Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, Kinesiologists and various other health care providers. who wish to advance their careers in the specialized field of medical foot and lower limb care. This continuing education program is consistent with the standards of practice of the Ontario Foot Care Association (OFCA). The Regulated Health Care Provider will advance their knowledge, skills, and judgement in this area of care. The design of this program is to guide our students so that they acquire the appropriate competencies and feel confident to deliver this care when they complete our program. Our students will have access to ongoing support through the Ontario Foot Care Association Inc. An Ontario registered non-for-profit organization designed to support Podortho® Foot Specialists in their quest to provide advanced quality client care while working to their full scope of practice.
Our students will be expected to conduct some of their own research and possess the competencies to know when and how to assess related information which will continue throughout their Podortho® Foot Specialist Career. After completing module one theory component students will be able to utilize the knowledge obtained to transfer this into practical skills. Each student will also complete the required textbook reading and chapter questions and assignments which will be submitted to their facilitator online. OFCA approved provincial exam will be based on what the student has learned in class and clinical.
Attendance is 100% mandatory for in class learning and clinical. Exceptions can be made for students who are travelling from long distances if extenuating circumstances are present.
